“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
“Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.”
Tall and so quiet
Until the breeze awakens
The leaves whispering
Last Sunday was the premiere of both a spinoff and a prequel. The dichotomy of that intrigues me. It is both the past and the future, and of course, remains in the present.
Fear the Walking Dead comes from the creators of The Walking Dead, even taking its time slot until its return, Sunday nights at 9pm on AMC.
Fear the Walking Dead takes place in Los Angeles, California, right at the outbreak, the ramifications.of which we’ve been watching for the last five seasons. LA has never heard of the walkers and think what they are witnessing is a flu outbreak.
SPOILERS FOR FIRST EPISODE
New at Red Robin! At $9, the Great Northern Poutine Fries appetizer is entree size, and includes their steak fries covered with mushrooms, garlic aioli, brown gravy and cheese curds. It was amazing even though I couldn’t eat more than half of it! Red Robin also has the best burgers with something for everyone, and one of the best royalty/loyalty clubs I’ve seen.
On a related note, I’m starting to write reviews for Google Local Guides. I need to figure out how to post with my Kindle, but it looks like an interesting venture for fall.
These grounds are a reliquary to the North American Martyrs, St. Isaac Jogues and his Companions, St. Rene Goupil and St. John LaLande. In 1642, the same year Rene Goupil was martyred, the first known recitation of the Rosary was prayed here. This was also the birthplace ten years later after St. Jogues and St. Lalande’s martyrdoms, of St. Kateri Tekakwitha.
The view of the Mohawk Valley and River from the Shrine Grounds
Three Crosses bearing the names of the North American Martyrs at the Entrance, at the edge of what was the Mohawk village.
My husband and I had planned on seeing this on Friday for our anniversary, but it doesn’t seem to be playing in our theatres anymore.
Any suggestions on what we should see instead? (We’ve shady seen Jurassic World.)
Unfortunately, I’ve been ill all morning so I wasn’t able to post what I intended today; the reflection from my visit to the Shrine of Our Lady of Martyrs. I am hoping to push my usual dailies down by a day, and start my week tomorrow.
Taking its place today then is a link to the Top 10 Catholic Shrines in the US, one of which is the one I visited.
Here is also a virtual tour supplied by Acevedo Homeschoolers on You Tube:
I hope to see you tomorrow.
